You may not realize it, but your nose is a very complex structure. Surgery to change the shape or size of your nose is called rhinoplasty, and involves tiny bones, cartilage and soft tissue.
Your nose is an integral part of your overall facial harmony. It should fit the shape and size of your face and be in proportion to your other facial features. As with other cosmetic procedures, reshaping your nose requires functional and aesthetic considerations.
The more dramatic change in your nose will be in the first two weeks. At that time you'll start to feel confident about its new appearance. However, it will be six to twelve months before your nose assumes its final shape.
